I climbed the stairs two at a time. I no longer know what I was thinking about in that stairwell, I imagine I was counting the steps so as not to think of anything else.
I arrived at the door, caught my breath and rang the bell. The man approached from the other side, I could hear him, I could make out his footsteps on the wooden floor.

I’d first met him on the Internet just two hours earlier. He was the one who’d contacted me. He’d told me he liked boys like me, young, slender, blond, blue-eyed—the Aryan type, he’d insisted. He’d asked me to dress like a student and that’s what I’d done—at least his idea of a student—with an oversized hoodie I’d borrowed from Geoffroy and sky-blue trainers, my favorites, I’d done what he wanted because I was hoping he’d reward my efforts and pay me more than he’d promised.

Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice were subbed off during Arsenal’s 5-0 victory against Crystal Palace and it seems they may have suffered injuries.
Both players were instrumental in Arsenal winning the game, and when they left the pitch, some Gooners may be worried.
After the fixture, Mikel Arteta was asked about his substitutions, and he explained on the BBC:
“Declan Rice was feeling a sensation in his hamstring so we didn’t want to take any risks at 3-0.
“Gabriel had a tackle in the first half on his knee. I hope not [too serious] but we will see.”

The Orlando Museum of Art has rescinded legal claims of fraud and conspiracy against the five co-owners of a group of allegedly forged Jean-Michel Basquiat paintings at the center of a scandal that has all but exhausted the museum’s cash supply.
According to a statement by the museum’s board chairman, Mark Elliott, released Friday and shared with ARTnews, the museum is dropping the lawsuit against the consortium of owners to focus solely on former OMA director Aaron De Groft in an “effort to cut legal costs.”
De Groft, Elliott said in the statement, is the most responsible for the doomed Heroes and Monsters exhibition, which featured 25 works painted-on-cardboard originally attributed to Basquiat. De Groft—and the paintings’ co-owners—have fiercely defended the works as authentic. However, following a June 2022 raid on the museum by the FBI, during which the works were taken into the Bureau’s custody, an auctioneer from Los Angeles, Michael Barzman, admitted that he and an accomplice made the works. De Groft was fired shortly after the raid.
De Groft, who has countersued the museum, alleging wrongful termination and defamation, told the Times that for OMA “to pursue an innocent person in their frivolous, meanspirited lawsuit is pathetic.” De Groft maintained that the works are real.
Earlier this month, details of an internal meeting were released to multiple news outlets revealing that the museum was facing a deficit of $1 million for the coming year.

Leandro Trossard scored one of Arsenal’s goals in their 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace this afternoon, justifying his inclusion ahead of Gabriel Martinelli in the starting lineup.
The Belgian faced challenges in displacing Martinelli when he joined the club in the second half of last season, but he consistently proves his worth as a top player when given the chance.
While the spotlight often falls on the performances of players like Bukayo Saka, Trossard’s contribution to the team should not be overlooked. According to the BBC, he has now been involved in 11 goals from 14 games in all competitions at the Emirates this season, making him one of Arsenal’s most productive players.
Mikel Arteta appears to be pleased with Trossard’s contributions, and considering his recent form, we could see more of him in the second half of the season.
