Palmer keeps everyone guessing if he would be fit to face Arsenal

Cole Palmer’s availability for Chelsea’s crucial match against Arsenal this weekend is uncertain after the forward sustained a knee injury in his previous outing. Palmer has been one of Chelsea’s most consistent and influential players this season, often seen as the key figure capable of delivering the goals and performances the Blues need to secure victories. His ability to drive the team forward and contribute in big moments has made him one of the first names on the team sheet for manager Enzo Maresca.

With Chelsea set to face Arsenal in what promises to be a high-stakes Premier League encounter, the club is sweating over Palmer’s fitness. The attacker himself will surely be eager to feature in such a significant game. However, while Maresca has refrained from providing a definitive update on Palmer’s condition, he did hint at the possibility of him starting, depending on how well he recovers before the match. This has left Chelsea fans anxious, as Palmer has become a pivotal part of their attacking force this season.

Further fueling speculation, Palmer posted an update on his Instagram story, showing himself wearing a ‘Game Ready’ wrap on his knee. This device is used for both hot and cold therapy and is typically used in recovery from injuries. However, it did not provide a clear indication of whether Palmer would be ready for the match, as such wraps are commonly worn during the rehabilitation process, regardless of the player’s immediate availability.

Despite Palmer’s importance to Chelsea’s attacking options, it would be unwise for Arsenal to assume that his presence or absence will decide the outcome of the game. Chelsea is a team with multiple attacking threats, and Arsenal will need to focus on their overall strategy, regardless of Palmer’s fitness.

Arsenal continues to monitor their London rival’s star player

Mohammed Kudus has emerged as one of the standout players in the Premier League, yet he is not playing for one of the traditional Champions League clubs. Since his move from Ajax to West Ham, the Ghanaian midfielder has been a key figure for the Hammers. His performances have made him one of the most sought-after players in London, with clubs like Arsenal now turning their attention to his development. It has been reported that Kudus could be playing his final season for West Ham, as bigger clubs are keeping an eye on him, with Arsenal among those monitoring his progress closely.

Arsenal, who have been on the lookout for players to enhance their midfield, see Kudus as a talented playmaker who could add creativity and flair to their squad. His ability to create chances, combined with his technical skill, has made him stand out even when West Ham has struggled in games. His consistent ability to make an impact in matches, regardless of the team’s performance, is what makes him an appealing prospect for top clubs like Arsenal.

The Gunners are in the process of strengthening their squad, and Kudus has become a key target for them. According to Football Insider, Arsenal plans to keep tabs on Kudus throughout the remainder of the season to assess whether he is the right fit for their team. The decision on whether to pursue him in the summer will depend on his continued form, as Arsenal has other targets in mind as well. Kudus has the potential to be an excellent addition to their squad, but he must maintain his high level of performance to prove that he is the right choice for Arsenal.

If Kudus continues to impress and remains consistent, he could be the next Ghanaian to play for the Gunners, following in the footsteps of previous stars from the African nation. However, his future at West Ham and potential move to a club like Arsenal will likely depend on the offers he receives and his performances in the coming months.

Report – Sevilla weighing up a loan move for another Arsenal star

Sevilla signed Albert Sambi Lokonga from Arsenal on loan during the summer, and after a solid start to his time at the Spanish club, they are expected to make the Belgian’s move permanent at the end of this season. Lokonga has been an important part of the squad, impressing with his performances and showing why the La Liga side is keen to keep him. As they look to strengthen further, Sevilla has set their sights on another Arsenal player: Jakub Kiwior.

Kiwior has struggled for consistent minutes at Arsenal since joining from Spezia, and his place in the team has been limited. The Polish defender is currently behind Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba, and even Ben White in the pecking order at centre-back. Despite this, Arsenal is hesitant to let him leave, especially given the importance of having depth in the squad. Kiwior provides the club with an extra option should injuries or suspensions hit their defensive ranks, a role that Arteta values highly.

Kiwior’s situation has caught the attention of several clubs, with teams in Italy reportedly tracking him. However, it is Sevilla who have emerged as the latest club interested in signing him. According to Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla is looking to bring Kiwior in on loan, as they may not be able to meet Arsenal’s valuation for a permanent move. While this would give Sevilla a chance to add the talented defender to their squad, Arsenal is unlikely to entertain a permanent departure without a suitable offer.

Arsenal’s reluctance to sell Kiwior is understandable, given the importance of maintaining squad depth throughout a long and demanding season. The team competes on multiple fronts, and the risk of defensive injuries means Arteta needs all his defensive options. Kiwior could still prove useful as the season progresses, and his future at Arsenal could depend on how much playing time he can earn in the coming months.

Should Declan Rice play through pain against Chelsea?

Arsenal is facing a major challenge as Declan Rice is an injury doubt ahead of their crucial Premier League game against Chelsea. The midfielder has been an essential player for the Gunners this season, featuring in nearly every match. However, Rice missed Arsenal’s Champions League game against Inter Milan due to injury and has struggled to recover in time for the Chelsea match.

Hours before the game, Rice still seems to be feeling pain, which puts his participation in doubt. The Gunners have been working relentlessly to get the England international back into the squad, especially now that captain Martin Odegaard is fit to play. The club is in a race against time to assess Rice’s fitness and make a decision on whether he can play through the pain.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal is keen to have Rice in the squad for the Chelsea match, even if he is not 100% fit. The Gunners may be prepared to let him play through pain, knowing how important his presence in the midfield is. Rice has been a standout performer for Mikel Arteta’s side since his summer move, contributing both defensively and offensively. His absence would be a big blow for Arsenal, especially in a game that could be crucial in their bid for the Premier League title.

However, there is a risk that if Rice plays while still injured, he could worsen the issue, which might sideline him for a more extended period. Arsenal’s medical team is likely monitoring his condition closely to determine whether he can make the sacrifice and play through the pain or whether it would be better for him to rest and recover fully.

Rice’s availability remains uncertain, but his determination to play and help his team is a testament to his importance in the squad. Arsenal is hoping for a last-minute recovery, but if he is not fully fit, his absence will be felt by the Gunners in this highly anticipated clash with Chelsea.

Arsenal star is compared to Denis Bergkamp in huge compliment

Ray Parlour has recently drawn a fascinating comparison between Martin Odegaard and one of Arsenal’s all-time greats, Dennis Bergkamp, as the Norwegian midfielder returns to fitness ahead of the crucial Chelsea game. Parlour, a key figure in Arsenal’s midfield during the club’s glory years, has noted the similarities between the two players, particularly in their technical ability and vision on the ball.

Bergkamp, who is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever wear an Arsenal shirt, was known for his exceptional creativity and precision in finding teammates with perfectly weighted passes. His skill, footballing intelligence, and ability to score stunning goals during his time at the club made him a fan favourite and a pivotal part of the team during Arsène Wenger’s tenure. Bergkamp’s legacy as a technical maestro is one that Odegaard is being measured against, which speaks volumes about the level of respect the Norwegian has earned in his relatively short time at Arsenal.

Parlour, while praising Odegaard’s qualities, made it clear that the comparison should not be taken to mean that Odegaard has reached the heights of Bergkamp just yet. Speaking to Mirror Football, he said, “Well, I look at Bergkamp when I played. I wouldn’t say he [Odegaard] is as good as Bergkamp, but he’s very similar in the way he can see vision and he will create chances. What I’m saying is he can get into little areas, he’s a very clever player.”

Odegaard’s rise at Arsenal has been remarkable since his move from Real Madrid. As club captain, he has shown leadership qualities and a growing influence in midfield, creating vital chances and scoring important goals. However, as Parlour points out, while Odegaard has been excellent for Arsenal, he still has some way to go before he can be considered on the same pedestal as Bergkamp. Odegaard’s next challenge will be to help deliver silverware for the Gunners, something Bergkamp achieved throughout his illustrious career at the club. Only then, after winning major trophies, will the comparison truly hold weight.

Ex-Gunner wants Arteta to start Nwaneri against Chelsea

Ethan Nwaneri is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young talents at Arsenal, and it might not be long before Mikel Arteta has to find a regular spot for him in the starting XI. The teenager has impressed with his performances in his limited appearances in the Premier League, Champions League, and Carabao Cup. His flair and maturity beyond his years have caught the eye of many fans and pundits alike.

Despite Nwaneri’s evident potential, Arteta has been cautious with how much first-team football he gives the youngster. The manager is mindful of not overwhelming him too soon, understanding the delicate balance of developing a young player without rushing their progress. However, Nwaneri’s contributions have not gone unnoticed, and as the team looks to improve their form, the question arises: could he be given more playing time in the upcoming matches?

The next test for Arsenal is a high-stakes London derby against Chelsea, and Nwaneri’s cameo appearance in the recent game against Inter Milan has sparked discussion about whether he should start this crucial match. Former Arsenal player Kieran Gibbs has weighed in on the matter, advising Arteta to give the young star a chance. In an interview with ESPN, Gibbs stated, “I would start him there. You could have said over the last months with the results that they have had that he could have played a couple of games and see how it went. Now I think it would be a good time to throw him in.”

Given the team’s recent struggles, introducing fresh talent like Nwaneri could provide a much-needed spark. His creativity and energy might be the injection Arsenal needs as they push to get back on track and win more matches. If Arteta trusts Nwaneri more in the upcoming games, it could mark the beginning of an important phase in his career, helping Arsenal to build a stronger future.

Arsenal handed a boost as they bid to keep William Saliba

Arsenal is facing a difficult challenge in keeping hold of William Saliba, who has become one of the most sought-after defenders in Europe. Since establishing himself as a regular in Arsenal’s first team, Saliba has impressed with his performances and is now considered one of the top defenders in world football. His rise to prominence has coincided with Arsenal’s resurgence as one of the leading clubs in the Premier League, and he has been crucial to their defensive solidity.

Despite his standout displays, Arsenal has yet to translate their good performances into major silverware, and the club knows that it must secure some trophies soon to keep their key players satisfied and prevent them from being tempted by offers from top clubs. Saliba’s form has caught the attention of Real Madrid, a club known for its ability to sign almost any player they desire, which has put Arsenal in a difficult position. While Arsenal remains confident that Saliba will stay at the club, there are concerns internally that the allure of Real Madrid could be too strong for the defender.

However, recent reports have provided Arsenal with a sense of relief. According to Four Four Two, Real Madrid may have shifted their focus away from Saliba and towards another young defender, Castello Lukeba of RB Leipzig. The report suggests that Real Madrid may now prioritise signing Lukeba, a promising talent in the Bundesliga, rather than continuing their pursuit of Saliba.

For Arsenal, this could be great news, as it would remove the looming threat of Real Madrid signing one of their most important players. Still, given Real Madrid’s track record in the transfer market, the Gunners will remain vigilant and continue to work on securing Saliba’s future at the club.

Arsenal faces growing competition for red-hot striker

Arsenal is reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Jonathan David as his contract nears expiration, which could offer a valuable solution to their recent scoring challenges. Despite a strong start to the season, Arsenal’s form has waned, with goals proving harder to come by in recent weeks. Many fans and analysts have observed that the club missed an opportunity to add firepower to their attack in the summer transfer window when they chose not to sign an additional striker.

In the summer, Arsenal was linked with several forward targets, including Benjamin Sesko, who ultimately chose to stay at RB Leipzig. Rather than pursue other options, Arsenal opted not to bring in a new striker. However, with their recent struggles in front of goal, adding a proven scorer like David could give the team a much-needed boost in the second half of the season. Waiting until the summer could prove risky, as David would be a free agent by then and likely attract increased competition from other top clubs.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal’s competition for David is already significant, with Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool reportedly interested in the Canadian forward as well. Additionally, elite European clubs such as Barcelona and Juventus are also monitoring his situation, making it clear that David’s next move will be hotly contested.

David has proven himself a consistent goalscorer in recent seasons, both in Ligue 1 with Lille and internationally. Known for his pace, movement, and finishing ability, his skillset aligns well with Arsenal’s style, and his goal-scoring consistency could provide the boost they need. Securing David’s signature in January would help Arsenal gain an edge over their rivals and potentially inject much-needed depth and versatility into Mikel Arteta’s front line as they pursue a stronger finish to their Premier League campaign.

“I’m really happy” Renee Slegers on Arsenal’s dominant 5-0 win over Brighton Women

After how long we have been hoping our Arsenal Women will finally rediscover their goal-scoring form, Friday night was very satisfying indeed.
For a long time, our Gunner women’s main setback has been their inability to capitalize on their domination, convert it into chances, and finally score goals. A clinical Arsenal side might have easily won games like the 0-0 draw against Everton and the 1-1 tie with Manchester United. But they didn’t.

Well, on Friday night, they took our complaints with their lack of clinicality personally, thumping a Brighton side that everyone thought was on the rise, 5-0. Prior to their match against Arsenal, the Seagulls had conceded only four goals in six games. However, an unforgiving Arsenal demonstrated their superiority by scoring five goals against them.

By halftime, Beth Mead (13), Caitlin Foord (22) and Frida Maanum (25) had given the Gunners a 3-0 advantage. In the second half, the Gunners only needed to return, keep it simple, play their game, and finish the game for a vital win, but they did the opposite. They still kept the visitors under pressure, with Lina Hurtig scoring in the 76th minute, four minutes after replacing Caitlin Foord, and Alessia Russo converting a penalty in injury time for her second WSL goal in a row.

Renee Slegers couldn’t contain her joy after the game about how her team’s game plan worked. She claims that in order to address their troubles in front of the goal, they spent a lot of time in training working on their offensive concerns, which thankfully paid off.

“I’m really happy for the girls. The investment they put in and that they get the effect today in the game.”

Will a two-day training trip to Dubai fix Arsenal’s problems like last season?

Strangely enough, towards the end of last year, Arsenal went through an awful patch which saw our lead at the top of the EPL table get severely reduced. First of all we drew with Liverpool, which was swiftly followed by defeats to West Ham and Fulham, and was immediately followed by our home defeat to Liverpool in our first FA Cup game of the season.

The Gunners obviously needed to do something and the solution found by Arteta was to take the squad over to Dubai for a week’s warm-weather training in the sun. They came back fully refreshed and set off on a seven-game winning run that put us firmly back in the tight race for the title.

This was recalled yesterday when the media asked Arteta if our current run (losing to Bournemouth and Newcastle with that Liverpool draw in between) was a similar situation to last year and could he turn it around again. He replied: “The results probably were very similar, but the context is very different, because you tend to forget why you lost a full game against Bournemouth, or what happened what we didn’t win against Liverpool or the amount of situations we have had to go through.

“It does not matter, in the end we cannot go to Dubai for a week now like we did last time, we can go to Dubai still for two days – if that’s the solution we’ll go forward and backwards! The team is doing 10 times more better things than we used to do at that period, that’s the positive thing, but for all this to be clear and relevant you have to win, especially to answer certain questions.”

So, we have to beat Chelsea, but that is far from certain in our current form, but it is good to know that Arteta is looking for a similar solution to last season, but really, will just two days in Dubai be enough to get the squad back on track?

“We got in touch” Club president confirms they asked about signing Arsenal star

For several months, there have been ongoing reports linking Brazilian club Palmeiras with a potential move for Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus. This interest seems ambitious, considering Palmeiras’ history with the player, having nurtured him from a young talent into one of the best prospects in Brazilian football before selling him to Manchester City. During his time at City, Jesus won multiple trophies and established himself as a key player. However, since his transfer to Arsenal to reunite with manager Mikel Arteta, his performance has drawn mixed reactions from fans.

Despite being expected to be Arsenal’s main striker, Jesus has struggled with his goal-scoring form this season. His position in the starting lineup has been challenged, with the Gunners increasingly relying on Kai Havertz for attacking contributions. This shift in dynamics raises questions about Jesus’s long-term future at Arsenal, particularly after the club’s failed pursuit of Benjamin Sesko during the summer transfer window. Many fans are now suggesting that it may be time for Arsenal to consider selling the forward if he cannot reclaim his starting role and scoring touch.

In light of Palmeiras’ interest, the club’s president, Leila Pereira, recently confirmed that they reached out to Arsenal regarding a potential transfer. However, their inquiries were met with a firm rejection. Pereira revealed in an interview with Globo Sport, “Gabriel Jesus is not coming. We got in touch with Arsenal, and they said: ‘Leila, there are no conditions whatsoever. We are not going to negotiate the athlete.’ Closed the subject.”

She further emphasised the club’s strategy, stating, “Our base are these athletes who are already with us and are extremely successful. There are some positions that Abel would like to reinforce, but I’ll tell you in advance: forget the star. The big star of Palmeiras is the squad. I don’t believe in idols.”

While Pereira’s comments highlight Palmeiras’ focus on building a strong squad rather than relying on individual stars, it also indicates that Jesus remains a valued player at Arsenal. However, the ongoing scrutiny over his lack of goals could impact his standing among the fanbase. Strikers are often judged by their ability to find the back of the net, and if Jesus continues to struggle in this area, the Gunners might need to reassess his role within the team and potentially explore transfer options in the future.

“It gives you goosebumps.” David Raya looking forward to facing Liverpool

David Raya is eagerly anticipating Arsenal’s upcoming match against Liverpool this weekend, as the Gunners prepare to take on the league leaders who have enjoyed a stellar start to the season. Despite appointing a new manager and making only one senior signing during the summer transfer window, Liverpool has managed to hit the ground running, making winning games appear effortless. Many had anticipated struggles for the Reds under a new regime, but they have proven their critics wrong with their impressive performances.

Raya acknowledges the challenge that Liverpool presents and understands the need for top-notch performance to secure a favourable result. He is keenly aware of the stakes involved, as these high-profile matches often serve as defining moments in a season. In an interview with Arsenal Media, he shared his excitement for the match, stating, “These are the games that you dream playing in when you’re a kid. It gives you goosebumps when you think about playing in those types of games. It’s one of the biggest games of the season, we’re playing at home with our people and that’s the most important thing.”

For Raya, the key to success in such crucial fixtures lies not just in the technical aspects of the game, but also in the mindset. He emphasised the importance of enjoying the moment, saying, “The most important thing is to go out there and enjoy it first of all. If you don’t enjoy it, nothing good is going to happen, and get the three points.” This positive attitude reflects the culture that Mikel Arteta is fostering within the squad, focusing on both enjoyment and competitiveness.

Raya’s confidence and enthusiasm are vital as Arsenal look to secure all three points against a formidable opponent. He understands that every player needs to embrace the challenge and contribute to the collective effort to achieve victory. He stated, “It’s the same mentality of enjoying what you’re doing. If you don’t enjoy it, it’s pointless, so enjoy the challenge and do everything you can to win the game.”

As one of Arsenal’s key players, Raya’s performance will be crucial in determining the outcome of this pivotal clash. His ability to stay focused and make critical saves could be the difference between securing a vital win or dropping points in this crucial stage of the season. Arsenal fans will be hoping that Raya’s excitement translates into an exceptional performance that not only motivates his teammates but also helps the Gunners assert their place among the Premier League’s elite. With the atmosphere expected to be electric at the Emirates, both players and fans will be looking to turn this highly anticipated fixture into a memorable victory for the club.

Odegaard sends a message to Arsenal’s followers ahead of the Liverpool game

Martin Odegaard, Arsenal’s captain, is nearing full fitness but is unlikely to play in the crucial match against Liverpool tomorrow. Despite this setback, Odegaard has sent a passionate message to the fans, underscoring the significance of this fixture in the title race. He recognises that the match presents a pivotal opportunity for the Gunners to prevent the league leaders from widening the points gap, making it essential for Mikel Arteta’s squad to secure a victory.

The encounter against Liverpool is particularly important, as the Gunners look to reclaim their status among the title contenders. Odegaard highlighted the role of the fans in creating an electrifying atmosphere that can propel the team to success. He recalled the previous season, when Arsenal managed to maintain their unbeaten record against Liverpool, winning at the Emirates Stadium. “These are the games we love to play,” Odegaard stated in his captain’s note on the Arsenal website. “I’m sure all of you are going to be really fired up, and we’re expecting a top atmosphere inside the stadium.”

Reflecting on the team’s recent performances, he mentioned the mixed results, including a disappointing loss to Bournemouth followed by a display of resilience against Shakhtar. Odegaard expressed confidence that the squad is determined to raise their game and deliver a standout performance against Liverpool. He added, “Everyone is excited and ready to go. We want to give our best performance, and we know that will be needed against Liverpool.”

While Odegaard may not be on the pitch, his leadership will undoubtedly be felt in the dressing room. His presence as a captain is vital, as he will inspire and motivate his teammates to bring their best to the game. Arsenal fans are hopeful that, with or without their captain in the starting lineup, the team’s collective spirit will shine through, leading them to a much-needed victory against a formidable opponent.

The Gunners’ challenge against Liverpool not only represents a key moment in their season but also an opportunity to demonstrate their resilience and ambition in front of their home supporters.

Troy Deeney says the type of red cards Arsenal are getting is worrying

Arsenal’s ongoing battle with indiscipline has become a notable issue this season, significantly impacting their performance in the Premier League. With three red cards already to their name, the Gunners find themselves among the most undisciplined teams in Europe, though they aren’t the outright dirtiest. What is particularly concerning for the club and its supporters is the nature of these dismissals. Unlike many teams that face sanctions for aggressive tackles or violent conduct, Arsenal’s infractions have largely stemmed from what many would consider petulant actions.

Players like Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard have seen red this season, not for brutal challenges, but for infractions that seem more a result of frustration than malice. Rice was sent off for delaying a restart, while Trossard was dismissed for kicking the ball away after the referee had blown the whistle. These types of dismissals raise questions about discipline and mental focus, suggesting that some players may be struggling to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

Troy Deeney, in his column for The Sun, expressed concern regarding the nature of Arsenal’s red cards. He stated, “Arsenal’s red-card run has me worried — but not for why you might think. If the likes of Declan Rice, Leandro Trossard, and William Saliba had been sent off for violent conduct, aggressive behaviour or arguing with refs, I could understand. These things happen, move on. But in Arsenal’s case, none of them were for tackles. They were simply for petulant, lazy and stupid actions — things that manager Mikel Arteta cannot account for.”

Deeney’s comments highlight a critical area for improvement within the squad. Indiscipline not only disrupts the flow of matches but can also lead to missed opportunities and dropped points, which can be crucial as the season progresses. Arsenal’s potential title challenge could be undermined if they continue to have key players sidelined due to unnecessary red cards.

Addressing this issue is paramount for Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff. The team must cultivate a mentality that prioritises discipline and focus, particularly in high-stakes games where the margin for error is minimal. If Arsenal cannot keep their players on the pitch, they will find it increasingly difficult to compete for silverware this season. The ability to maintain composure and make smarter decisions on the field will be vital for the Gunners as they aim to reclaim their status as title contenders. With the right adjustments, Arsenal can mitigate these issues and position themselves better for the remainder of the campaign.

Arteta is having sleepless nights over which players to select for the Liverpool game

Arsenal is gearing up for one of the most significant home fixtures of the season as they prepare to host Liverpool this weekend. With the Gunners sitting four points behind their visitors in the Premier League table, the stakes couldn’t be higher. A win is essential not only to close the gap but also to prevent Liverpool from extending their lead to seven points, a situation that would be far from ideal for anyone associated with the club.

This season has seen Arsenal display some inconsistency culminating in the recent loss to Bournemouth, which has added to the pressure surrounding the Liverpool match. Mikel Arteta understands the importance of securing all three points and is keenly aware that this match could significantly impact their title aspirations. The challenge for Arteta lies not only in motivating his players but also in selecting the best team possible to face a formidable Liverpool side.

The uncertainty surrounding player fitness has added to Arteta’s difficulties. He recently shared his struggles in finalising his lineup, indicating that he often finds it hard to sleep when he cannot settle on a team. Arteta noted, as quoted by The Sun: “Normally, I prefer to go to bed with the line-up in my head so I can sleep like a baby. But sometimes it cannot be as you have to wait for the next day. Sometimes two or three days before, you already have the idea, ‘Against this team this is what I am going to do’ — but when you have uncertainty with injuries it is tricky. The stress comes from two things. First, when you don’t have options, what do you do? And then you get in the shoes of the players.”

These remarks underline the complex decisions Arteta faces, particularly when key players may be unavailable due to injury. The depth of the squad will be tested, and finding the right balance will be crucial to countering Liverpool’s strengths.

Despite these challenges, the Gunners are preparing to put forth their best effort against Liverpool. Arsenal fans are hopeful that Arteta can navigate the uncertainties and lead the team to victory, reinforcing their position as serious title contenders. The excitement surrounding this fixture is palpable, and it’s a pivotal moment for Arsenal to prove they can compete at the highest level. A win against a rival like Liverpool would not only boost morale but could also reignite their momentum as they look to make a strong push for the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal is making plans to snap up top striker in the summer

Arsenal’s decision not to sign a striker during the summer transfer window is beginning to weigh heavily on the team’s performance. Despite being one of the Premier League’s title contenders and showing flashes of brilliance in certain matches, Mikel Arteta’s side has struggled with scoring consistently. Their inability to find the back of the net as frequently as desired has led to growing frustrations among fans, who believe that acquiring a new striker could significantly enhance the team’s attacking options.

During the last transfer window, Arsenal had set their sights on Benjamin Sesko as a potential target to bolster their attack. However, Sesko ultimately chose to stay at RB Leipzig, leaving the Gunners without a fresh face in their forward line. As the season progresses, it has become evident that Arsenal’s current roster may lack the depth and firepower needed to compete at the highest levels consistently. As a result, the club is reportedly making plans to target a striker in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal is now focusing its efforts on Dusan Vlahovic, the Serbian international currently playing for Juventus. Vlahovic has been regarded as one of the premier strikers in Europe, known for his powerful shot and clinical finishing abilities. However, there are indications that he may be on the move from Juventus if the club and the player cannot agree on a new contract. Given Arsenal’s prior interest in Vlahovic dating back to 2021, it seems they are eager to capitalise on any potential opportunity to secure his services.

Arteta has made it clear that he values Vlahovic’s capabilities and believes he could be a transformative addition to the squad. The prospect of adding a player of Vlahovic’s calibre could provide Arsenal with the goal-scoring threat they have been missing this season. Fans and analysts alike are hopeful that this time, the Gunners can successfully navigate the transfer market and bring in the striker they desperately need.

As the January transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Arsenal’s strategies and negotiations. With a solid forward option like Vlahovic potentially available, it would be a significant step towards solidifying their title challenge. Arteta’s commitment to enhancing his squad is apparent, and if they can secure a top-tier striker, it could change the dynamics of Arsenal’s season and help propel them closer to their ambitions of winning the Premier League.

Liverpool fans think they know if Saka will start against their team or not

Arsenal is making every effort to ensure that Bukayo Saka returns to full fitness in time for their crucial match against Liverpool. The talented forward has been sidelined since sustaining an injury during the last international break, and his absence has been felt across the squad. Arsenal has chosen a cautious approach, opting not to rush his recovery, despite the increasing demand from fans eager to see him back on the pitch.

Saka’s influence on the game is undeniable, and the Gunners have struggled without him in recent matches. His ability to create opportunities and score goals makes him a vital part of Mikel Arteta’s tactical setup, especially as they prepare to face the current league leaders, Liverpool. During the pre-match press conference, Arteta was asked directly about Saka’s potential availability for the match. However, he refrained from providing a definitive answer, stating that the decision would depend on the player’s progress over the next few days.

Arteta emphasised that Saka would be monitored daily to assess his fitness levels leading up to the match. He acknowledged that Saka is “close to a return” and has a chance to feature, but did not commit to his inclusion, which left some uncertainty among fans. According to Football Insider, Liverpool supporters have been quick to react to Arteta’s comments, with some suggesting that he might be downplaying Saka’s chances of playing. This speculation has led to discussions among fans, with some even believing that Arsenal’s captain, Martin Odegaard, may also be included in the lineup against the Reds.

While Arsenal fans remain hopeful for Saka’s return, the club’s medical staff and management are prioritising the player’s long-term health over an immediate comeback. Arteta has made it clear that they will not take unnecessary risks if Saka is not fully fit. This approach reflects a growing trend among clubs to prioritise player welfare, particularly after a series of injuries affecting key players across the league.

The potential return of Saka would undoubtedly boost Arsenal’s chances against a formidable Liverpool side. His creativity, pace, and goal-scoring ability are crucial assets that can make a significant difference in tight matches. However, the club’s decision to handle his recovery with care is commendable, as it aims to prevent further injury and ensure that Saka can contribute to the team’s success throughout the season. Ultimately, the Gunners and their fans will have to wait for the final assessment before the big game to see if their star boy will be ready to shine against Liverpool.

Coaching is “not a massive interest” for Arsenal Women’s Aussie striker Caitlin Foord

I’m sure you’ve heard allegations of women football players demanding equal pay, claiming it’s unfair that men are receiving higher salaries. We’ve seen Leah Williamson suggest that she might look to be a career woman after retiring, a point we highlighted in our piece: “I’m not earning enough to retire after my playing career” says Lionesses captain & Arsenal Women star.

Having said that, you might be curious about what our Gunner Women stars might end up doing once they stop playing. You’d imagine some will have to consider their academic qualifications, do professional courses, and transition into career women. But I’m sure some will end up as pundits, others as coaches. Speaking of coaches, Caitlin Foord has revealed that she’s not aiming to be a head coach.

Foord feels she could be overwhelmed with the duty of dictating play as a head coach, but she could look to be an assistant coach, training certain individuals in a team like Kelly Smith is doing with them as strikers. That said, she admits that at the moment she’s not yet worked on her badges, and the interest is still not there.

“I think I’d be an assistant rather than a head coach. I’d like to have the responsibility of developing players but not the full responsibility of dictating the playing style, for instance. I’m more drawn to roles like the one Kelly Smith has with us now, where she focuses on the strikers specifically. And that’s even if I were to go into coaching! I haven’t done any of my badges yet, and right now, it’s not a massive interest.”

Following Jonas Eidevall’s exit, the senior Gunner women stars will have significantly stepped up to guide the others and support Renee Slegers’ interim reign. I’m confident that Foord, who may one day serve as an assistant, is among those who have truly guided the younger Gunners during this challenging period.

Paul Merson predicts “If Arsenal lose this game, they are out of the title race!”

I predict an Arsenal victory over Liverpool on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium. Let’s hope for a win, as Paul Merson made some concerning claims about the fixture. It is no secret that, with Arsenal and Liverpool both vying for league glory, this game has the potential to set the tone for the Premier League title fight.

Paul Merson has boldly stated that Arsenal’s loss to Liverpool effectively eliminates them from the Premier League title chase. He notes that if they lose, they would finish the weekend 6 points behind Manchester City (if the Blues defeat Southampton on Saturday).Giving the Cityzens a six-point lead is criminal in his opinion, and it could force Arsenal to win all of their remaining games, which he does not believe will happen.

The Arsenal legend stated, “If Arsenal lose this game, they are out of the title race!

“People can go like, ‘Oh, there are 29 games left’ and all that. But if they lose, it’s a six-point gap with Manchester City. How can you expect City to lose ground on that advantage and expect Arsenal to win all their remaining games at the same time?”

Merson made those allegations in his Sportskeeda column, where he predicted that the Arsenal-Liverpool game will end 1-1. Aside from Merson’s and my predictions, do you think Arsenal has what it takes to beat Liverpool, despite major absences such as William Saliba, Ricardo Calafiori, and Martin Odegaard?

“It’s been a bit tough.” Rosa Kafaji reflects on her “challenging” time with Arsenal Women

Though they picked up two back-to-back wins before the international break, which should be their turning point, Arsenal Women haven’t had a fantastic start to this new season.
In 5 WSL games thus far this season, they’ve only managed 2 wins, 2 draws, and a loss. Those results are poor considering their main rivals Chelsea, who have won four of their first four league games.

Other than the league, our Gunners successfully qualified for UEFA Women’s Champions League football this season; unfortunately they lost their first game to Bayern Munich 5-2, but on Match Day 2 they picked a big win over Valerenga, beating the Norwegian side 4-1.

While on international duty with Sweden, Rosa Kafaji, who joined from BK Hacken in the summer, reflected on the challenging start to the season and admitted:

“It’s been a bit tough.
“The schedule has been intense, especially with a coaching change in the middle of it all.
“Jonas [Eidevall] has been good, and Renée [Slegers] has really stepped up during this challenging time. I think the whole team has handled it well, and it’s impressive that we’ve managed to win these matches.”

We hope that our Gunners can continue their resurgence after the break; to achieve this, they must perform at their peak when they play Manchester United on November 3rd. According to reports, the Gunners are diligently searching for the ideal head coach to come on board, replace ex-coach Jonas Eidevall, and help them regain their glory. Former Gunner Casey Stoney and New York City FC’s Nick Cushing are two of the top coaches believed to be under consideration.
