Clint Morrison insists if Saliba does not play Arsenal will be in trouble

Former Crystal Palace star Clint Morrison has discussed William Saliba’s presence in the Arsenal team.

The Gunners face Palace in their next game and the Eagles will play the league leaders days after their manager was sacked.

Everton defeated Arsenal after changing managers earlier in the season to show that the new manager bounce is real.

Palace could also do that and Morrison believes it could be a problem for Arsenal if Saliba misses the game.

He told Premier League Productions:

Agbonlahor discourages Arsenal from signing Inter Milan star

Gabby Agbonlahor does not believe Ben White is good enough to be Arsenal’s main right-back, but the former attacker is also not convinced by Denzel Dumfries, who has been linked with a move to the Emirates.

The Inter Milan wing-back is one of the finest in Europe, but he is used to playing on the wings in a three-at-the-back system.

Arsenal plays with four at the back, with White playing as their right-back for much of this season and the defender has done well.

But he does not convince Agbonlahor, who continues to insist the defender is not good enough. He has again urged Arsenal to find someone better.

He tells Football Insider:

Arsenal told Caicedo is not good enough for £90million

Moises Caicedo was the subject of transfer interest from Arsenal in January and the Gunners are reportedly still keen on signing him.

The Ecuador international has signed a new contract at Brighton, which should discourage Arsenal from thinking about his signature.

However, that hasn’t been the case and the Gunners look set to reignite their interest in the 21-year-old at the end of the season.

But former Scottish player Tam McManus says it makes no sense for them to spend up to £90million on his services because he will not even be the first choice at the Emirates.

He tells Football Insider:

Steve Parish insists everyone at Palace is looking forward to the Arsenal Game

Crystal Palace co-owner Steve Parish insists the mood at the club is good ahead of their match against Arsenal after Patrick Vieira was sacked as the club’s manager.

Veira was booted out after his team’s winless 2023 continued, pushing them closer to the relegation spots.

The Eagles had a good start to the season but have not been in great shape in the last few months, which cost the former Arsenal midfielder his job.

Mikel Arteta’s side has just been eliminated from the Europa League and is expected to get back to winning ways in the game.

This means Palace is facing another tough test, yet Parish insists the mood is good at Selhurst Park.

Arsenal desperate to know if Saliba can face Crystal Palace

Arsenal lost William Saliba to injury in their penalty shootout defeat to Sporting Club in the Europa League.

The Gunners remain the leading club in the Premier League and can now turn their attention towards winning the competition as they have no other commitments.

Their next game will be against managerless Crystal Palace and it is the first of their must-win games between now and the end of the season.

The Gunners will want to field their best players in the fixture and one man their fans want to see on the field is Saliba.

However, the French defender is still a doubt and a report in the Daily Mail claims Arsenal is still sweating over his fitness ahead of the game.

Arsenal legend wants USA National Team job

Thierry Henry has been named one of the contenders for the USA Men’s National Team job as the organisation in charge concludes its investigation into coach Gregg Berhalter.

The current coach had been suspended for a while as his outside work conduct is investigated and it remains unclear if they will reinstate him.

However, should a change of coach be needed, a report in the Daily Mail says Henry is interested in the role.

The Arsenal legend has struggled to make a name for himself as a manager after unsuccessful stints as the gaffer of AS Monaco and CF Montreal.

He was on the coaching staff of Roberto Martinez with Belgium but was overlooked for the job when Martinez left.

It’s not about money as table-topping Arsenal sit sixth on wage table

It is said that money buys success in the Premier League, but that may not be entirely true, especially if Arsenal wins the league this season.

The Gunners have spent admirably well in the last two transfer windows to bolster their squad and are reaping the rewards.

Gabriel Martinelli has recently signed a new contract at the club and it is believed to be for huge money.

The club will reward its stars with big-money deals, but that still will not mean they have bought their way to success.

A report in The Sun has revealed the wage bill of clubs in the Premier League and Arsenal came sixth.

Odegaard says now is the time for Arsenal to show they can win the league

Martin Odegaard believes being eliminated from the Europa League means Arsenal will turn their focus towards winning the Premier League.

The Gunners are out of every cup competition in this campaign and now have just a few games to go in the league.

They have a five-point cushion on Manchester City at the top of the league table and want to end the term as champions.

This means dropping out from the Europa League can be a blessing because they will now have enough time to rest and prepare for each league game.

The club captain believes this means every league game is a must-win for them now.

AC Milan watching Arsenal man while waiting for decision on his future

AC Milan has been credited with an interest in Folarin Balogun and they are not giving up on adding him to their squad.

The Englishman is on loan at Reims from Arsenal and continues to show great form at the Ligue 1 club.

Mikel Arteta’s side is also doing well in England, with Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli taking turns to play in the number nine role at the Emirates.

This means Balogun will struggle to play when he returns and the attacker will not want that.

Football Insider reveals Milan continues to monitor him and the Italian club is keen to ensure he joins them.

Arsenal refuses to give up on Premier League midfielder

Arsenal was desperate to add Moises Caicedo to their squad in the January transfer window and tabled some bids for his signature.

Brighton insisted he was not for sale and rejected all those offers for him and the midfielder signed a contract extension with the Seagulls.

That decision seemed to suggest the South Coast club has now secured his future and should make it easier for them to keep him at the club for the long term.

Arsenal added Jorginho to their squad instead, but in the summer, they are expected to add a new man to their midfield.

Several midfielders are on their radar, but a report on Football Insider claims they will likely return for Caicedo.

On The Continent: Milan are finally back

After 11 years, Milan are back in the last eight of the Champions League. Dotun and Andy are joined by Nicky Bandini who explains just how it clicked for this young, inexperienced team last night. Maybe Spurs gave a helping hand.

But guess who it didn’t click for? After another early exit, we ask whether it’s finally - finally - time for PSG to rip up their Galactique model and start again, while Andy has a huge theory about the futures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé…

Ramble Reacts: A shocking night for Spurs

Marcus and Luke struggle to stay awake through some Champions League drudgery, as Spurs went out with a whimper against Milan. At least the score improved from the first leg!

We wonder if Antonio Conte’s heading for departures and what Spurs fans can reasonably expect from this team. There’s also some mocking reserved for another early PSG exit and we bid a fond farewell to Scott Parker’s brief stint in Belgium.

The Ramble: Gary Neville lost the war

Marcus thinks the Man United players should drive their Shame Cars™ to training this morning. He’s on hand with Luke, Jim and Pete to pore over Liverpool’s demolition job, as Bruno Fernandes lost his head on the pitch and Gary Neville lost his head in the studio.

Elsewhere, wild celebrations at the Emirates get interrupted by a lost child - at least Richard Keys approved of them this time. Luke also questions whether James Ward-Prowse offers anything other than free kicks. Would you expect him to think anything else?
